Trump administration obstructs justice again.
The Trump administration, specifically the State Department, has ordered employee Ambassador Gordon Sondland, presumably on the suggestion of President Trump and as part of ongoing coverups, to not appear for a deposition before the US House Intelligence Committee.
The Intelligence Committee wanted information from the ambassador related to the President withholding crucial support approved by Congress to Ukraine, which is necessary to defend the country which is under attack by Russia and Trump pal Putin, unless Ukraine conducts an investigation into 2020 political opponent Joe Biden to advance Trumps’ personal political interests. During a phone call to Ukraine President Zelensky, Zelensky told Trump he wanted to buy more Javelin anti-tank missiles. According to a transcipt of the call, Trump said ” I would like you to do us a favor though…” and then went on to state conditions for Ukraine to receive support based on Ukraine coming up with dirt on Biden to benefit Trumps own personal presidential campaign.
Recently, President Trump also suggested China help his 2020 reelection campaign by finding dirt on who Trump sees as his main political opponent, Former Vice President Joe Biden.
Recent polls suggest American support in favor of impeachment has climbed to 58%, and is likely to climb higher as more obstructions of justice, more coverup attempts, more federal election violations, and more abuses of presidential powers occur.
